Summer Learning journey / Kowhaiwhai Template

Today I did a activity from the summer learning journey. The activity i was doing was to make a koru. We had to make a koru and to design our background that represents the summer.

I enjoyed this activity very much because it tells me that making art is a good idea so people can ask about what your art represents.

  1. Kia ora Jay-Lee,

My name is Fiona and I'm from the Summer Learning Journey.

Wow - what a beautiful kowhaiwhai pattern you have made - ka pai! I really like the way your pattern look like hearts, and the warm summery colours you have chosen.

I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed this activity. Did you have a go at drawing a kowhaiwhai pattern on paper before creating it digitally? I tried drawing with a pencil and found it pretty tricky!

Keep up the great blogging - I can’t wait to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,

    Fiona
