Duffy

Today we had a Duffy Assembly. And we had a visitor his Name is Robbie Rakete. he is on a radio station called the breeze, he is also the brown wiggle from the show called the wiggles and he even has a song that he sings on the wiggles called Have a good day Kia Pai To Ra, he also stared in the movie called Dancing with the stars. And he said while he was at our school he said that we can do anything by reading. and its fun to read and he can do anything.

Team 1 kiwican overview

This week for kiwican we recapped all of our learning from team 1.
our big theme was positive Relationship .

Our 3 modules were /positive Relationships/friendship/conperation.

We made 3 groups.Each group talked about the 5 ws H for 1 module .

After we talked as a group , each group shared then ideas bach to calss .

Reflection 

1 thing I liked in my team was lots people stood up

Ki o Rhai

LI: to learn the real game of Ki O Rahi
We played the game of Ki O Rahi. There are two teams in Ki O Rahi. Ki Oma and Taniwha. Taniwha gets points by throwing the Ki to the Tupu (The Rock), Taniwha team are only allowed in Te Roto and Te Ao. Ki Oma score by touching the Ki to the Pou (Teeth) and scoring a try by getting the Ki to Pawhero (Island), they are only allowed to be in Te Ao, but if they are going to get a try they can go through Te Roto and get to Pawhero.

Snag Golf




Today we have learnt about snag golf shots we had to get in to groups.

First we got cones and a ruler to measure so we can put the cones in the right place.

Second  four people had to stand near the cones and one person had to write number on the chrome
book. And the four people shout to the person on the chrome book 8-10 .

 Today for inquiry we had been talking about poetry.

Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing feeling to people.

Poetry can include sound pattern. They  are rhyme and rhythm.

 Rhyming is repeating sound in the words there are four kinds of rhyme; Consonance,
End Rhyme,Alliteration , And Assonance.

kiwican

L-I To Build positive Relationships 

Today in kiwican  we were learning about friendships 
we learnt that there are times we can say no!
We talk about situations were it is ok to say no !

We diseussed diffenent way to say no thanks don't cause disrespect.
We did a activty called empathy role play
A group acted out a situation and as a class we neened to to decide
they way to say no;
- No thanks
- Let do somthing else insted 
-It's just not my thing -Thats not a nice thing to do
