this week for kiwi can it was the last day of kiwi can and it so sad but we had fun a least.The 4 game or activity we did was Bitty bob, Color Coordination,Music cone, Hot Potatoes.What was interesting in kiwi can was the whole class of the year 5 had amazing fun.I am gonad teach you how to play music cone so any teacher or other player play music and the kids or other dance and if any teacher or other stop the music then the kids or other players pick up the cone and sit down.

This week for kiwi can we were learning about respect and how to respect people and others.
Our Energizer:
For our energizer we played a game called Mirror Mirror, how to play this game game you have to face someone. One of the lines will have to do some actions and the other line will have to copy.
Our Activity:
For our activity we played hoops we had to get in a group of 4 in my group was franzana jaylee bella H i had to stand in the front and my group has to past the ball to me and the person at the back has to hoop the ball in and the person who had more points was the winning group.

LI: To understand and say the Maori names of the week.
this week for moari we are learning about
day of the week.we had to use the moari dictionary to find the name of the week in Maori then we had to do a little bit of the activity on the bottom what we had to do was we had to write the moari words or the week of each side and the other side that says traditional we had to mach the same but the words look different so we had to mach it with the other side that says assimilation name we had to use the word that was there already there we had to go on the moari dictionary and write the days of the week one at a time then it will show you the moari word of the days of the week.

This week for kiwi can we were learning about how everyone has their own beliefs , ideas & customs . We had to hold our tongues which is basically think about saying something before you say it . We learnt about other cultures religions and customs . Then we played an activity which was called spot the difference so how this was played was we had to find a partner , number ourselves from 1 to 2 and then number one would have to turn around and number 2 would have to change one thing then we had to try figure out what they changed. After that we played our energiser which was master tag and mr c manu would choose a tagger and that tagger would have to tag people and whoever got tagged wasn't aloud to tag back and then they would have to tag someone else .

For our energizer we played a game called Fruity Tott, how to play this game is there is a caller that calls out these fruits apple, orange and banana, if the caller calls out apple then you take a step back same with orange but taking a step back and lastly with the banana you turn 80 degrees around.
For our Activity was played was called Truth or Lie, how you play this game is the there is a caller that calls out a True thing about them self and something that a lie about them. There are 2 sides the represents the truth or lie if we got it correct then we got 1 point for the class.

This week for swimming we learnt special water safety. We had to move around in a circle called huddle and we also had to make a chain by lying on each others laps. When we did this we had to wear life jackets. Life jackets make you float so if you are swimming you wont go underneath the water. When we were doing the chain we needed to hold each others shoulders so we can stay still and so we can stick together.

Our task was to find the differences between New Zealand and Japan. Like how All Blacks have actually won a World Cup unlike Japan. We are doing a Rugby World Cup Challenge. We had to use our reading, writing, and maths skills to complete the task. Our task was to pick five places in Japan we really wanted to visit. We had to add in facts and why we wanted to visit the place. The places we picked were Mt Fuji, Osaka, Tokyo, Sapporo, Kyoto. Mt Fuji is the tallest point in Japan. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and the city alone is 3 times bigger than New Zealand. Sapporo is the largest city on hokkaido island. Kyoto is the largest city in japan and Osaka was once the capital of Japan

Rube Goldberg
L.I to make a Rube Goldberg machine with the six simple machines.
For Inquiry we were challenged to build a similar machine as Rube Goldberg. A challenge was you
had to use one of the simple machines which are Incline Plane, Pulley, Screw, Wheel and Axle and a Lever.
My groups challenge was to try to turn on the
Chromebook. Our Machine had included, Levers, Incline Plane and a screw. We had also used parts
of our body to finish of the machine. Our machine was successfully working. The materials that we had
used were Cardboard(for Incline Plane), Domino's, Pan Balance, Marbles and books.
The biggest challenges we had to face was trying to get the materials to stay up still
and trying to figure out what's gonna happen next.
I think if we were to do this again I would've bought more materials and incorporated
more and included others ideas.

Our task was to write down three events that we think were really memorable and historical. The first one we did was the 1987 rugby world cup. I picked that because that was the first rugby world cup and the first winners were New Zealand or the All Blacks, the match was France vs All Blacks and the score was 29 - 9. The second was the 2011 rugby world cup because New Zealand won it again, plus the finals were France vs All Blacks again but this time France nearly won. The score was 7 - 8. The last one I picked was the 2015 world cup because New Zealand won it again. It was New Zealand vs Australia and the score was 34 - 17.

We were learning about the rugby positions. Our task was to match the player with the position. For example I had Richie Macaw and two positions. I would have to match it with one of the positions. But we had to add some things because it was a little bit basic. I had to research a little bit about the players, like their physical information like their weight and height. We also had to find out some facts like if they've made and or broken any records. We then had to find out the main function or the role of the position.
